Product's Packaging Tips

What are the things to be included into a packaging and label design to attract buyers' attention?
Often copywriters will consider the colours, images and designs because they are the first thing that catches buyers' eyes; but actually the text is the thing that will get buyers to put the product into the cart. The challenge is to make an impact to buyers when copywriters do not have a lot of time or space to communicate with your potential buyers.

So, what are the tips to an interesting copy?

1. Fonts

As mentioned above, designs are the the first thing buyers notice. The fonts should be special, eye catching, matches the product image and most importantly readable. No matter what the message is, how eye catching the fonts' designs are, if buyers struggles to read the writings on the label, even the best copy fail to communicate with the buyers. Unique designed fonts can be playful and fun, but the number one priority should always go back to "can the buyers read the message?". The goal is to make your font readable and make sure it is large enough to read at a glance.

2. Keep It Short

It is in human nature that we feel intimidated with large amount of words. Large blocks of words will make buyers lose patience easily especially when the body copy is not written in an interesting way. So copywriters should keep their body copy short and simple. Remember, copywriters are trying to sell the product, not to impress them with vocabularies. This does not mean that copywriters keep it factual and boring. Instead, they should be bold with imagery and words and uses specific examples to describe the product benefit and paint a picture for the buyers of their lives. This will make buyers feel like the product is made for them as the product is telling a story and communicating directly at them. Always keep your customers in mind and help them imagine their lives when using the product.

3. Drop The Jargon

It is easy to adapt own languages, but the buyers may not always speak the same language. Jargon does not translate to them the same way it does to copywriters. It is important to communicate with the buyers directly and make them feel engaged with the product but that does not mean copywriters should start using jargons. Copywriters should always use words and sentences that buyers can understand and interpret the same way the body copy is interpreted by the copywriters.
